Dosdev download windows.WinObj - Sysinternals | Microsoft Learn
If it is a Microsoft application why can't I find it from the Microsoft site? If anyone knows if this is a legitimate file and how I can get a copy from a reliable source I'd appreciate it. The first link actually has a valid download of dosdev. I am a little leary of running any old.
I was hoping to find a valid version on the microsoft website if this is a valid microsoft tool. Odd how it can not be found on the Microsoft site. The only reference I saw to it on MS is the second link you posted.
He talks about the tool but does not show any way to locate it and download it. So I googled for dosdev developer etc and can not find anything. Searched MS Technet and only that one link.
I can find references by people using the dosdev with robocopy but again where does dosdev. I will have to run it ot see if it allows the creation of a virtual drive to hold the backup data.
